This is the first build of the newly released Old Model Kits 1/350 scale resin Normandie Ocean Liner kit. The model was built straight out-of-box with everything
included except rigging lines. (
Editor's Note: The manufacturer's we site states, "This nine-year project is a 100% new kit. Seven of those years were spent accurately
modeling the ship from scratch in TurboCAD. All this design work was done by a master modeler and engineer who helped pioneer industrial CAD and 3D printing at
GM. This limited-run kit represents the Normandie from her 1935 maiden voyage to New York and has over 1,100 individual parts. The hull and larger parts are
pressure-cast resin from de-aired molds. There are two large photoetched brass sheets (one for railings, ladders, details, etc. and one for the davits), three sheets of
laser-cut, real wood printed decking (from Scale Decks), decals, flag sheet and a DVD with detailed, highly illustrated instructions including painting guide,
step-by-step rigging instructions and research material."
